Closing Conference and Networking Lunch

Location: Frankfurt Book Fair (Conference rooms Illusion 2 & 3)
What: Project Presentation, Book Pitches, Networking Lunch
During our final project presentation, we looked back and evaluated the ‘Every Story Matters’ trajectory. The six participant authors and illustrators of our talent development programme also took the stage to pitch the stories they created to publishers from all over Europe, live for the first time. Attendees were also welcome to join our networking lunch, where they could meet like-minded professionals, got further acquainted with our talents and their stories, and waved ‘Every Story Matters’ goodbye with us.

Transform Diversity: Frankfurt Children's Books Fair Conference
(in collaboration with Every Story Matters)
Wednesday, October 19th, 2022, 09h00 - 12h00 (CET)
Location: Frankfurt Book Fair (Congress Center Level 3, Conference room Illusion)
What: Panel discussions, authors interviews, networking breakfast
What is the state of diversity and inclusion in the European book market in 2022? Who decides how and wheninclusive stories will enter the market? How do we define an inclusive story? Who is bringing inclusive stories to the market now?
These four urgent questions are among the most frequently asked by book professionals these days. They also lay at the root of our joint conference with the Frankfurt Book Fair. ‘Transform Diversity: Frankfurt Children’s Book Conference’ was a series of three panel discussions -featuring authors, publishers, translators, and policy makers, which revolved around the questions above and aimed to sketch a clearer picture of the diversity and inclusivity in the book sector.
The speakers included: Lawrence Schimmel (writer and literary translator), D'Avellonne van Dijk en Loulou Drinkwaard (founders of Wilde Haren Publishing) and author Edward Van de Velde. Check out the programme below.
Our stand G143 in Hall 3.0
If you happened to wander into Hall 3.0, chances are you found the Every Story Matters-stand. During the Frankfurt Book Fair we wanted to have a physical space where you could meet our talents or partner organisations.
Did you talk to us there and do you want to continue the conversation? Let us know at info@everystorymatters.eu.
